In 2019 Asbury members joined community leaders in remembering the seventh anniversary of the day twenty precious children and six dedicated adults lost their lives at Sandy Hook. On a chilly winter morning in downtown Eugene a hundred joined in a call for peace. Honoring those lost on that terrible day in 2012, faith leaders called for justice for our planet, for immigrants and refugees, and for all those who seek to live safe and productive lives. Let it be so, with the help of God.

Asbury’s faith community wears the image of the peace dove. The dove reminds each of us that it is our responsibility to work for peace throughout the world.

We can do much more together than alone, to change the world.
